The ICAEW Senior Case Study Examiner July 1999 – November 2010
Sarah, formerly the Deputy Assessment Manager at ICAEW, has more than 10 years’ experience in ICAEW’s Learning and Professional Development department. As Deputy Assessment Manager Sarah managed the complete Case Study marking process, was secretary to the Assessment Committee and managed the assessment results team. In this role she heard first-hand the frustrations of students who had failed the Case Study exam and were struggling to understand why.
She brings logistical and operational expertise, as well as direct knowledge of the examination processes at ICAEW. As well as the main stream examination processes, Sarah has full knowledge of ICAEW’s procedures for candidates requiring assessment alternative arrangements, special consideration and concession approvals. She is able to advise any Training-by-Eos student on these provisions, and the best way to go about applying for them.
Sarah is married to a management accountant, and spent 6 years studying for her psychology degree with the Open University (which she achieved in 2006) whilst working at ICAEW. Having supported Training-by-Eos students through their studies since 2010, she fully understands the pressures involved in studying and working full time.

Our team of experienced markers
Responsible for marking your exams
All of our markers are trained to ICAEW standards, ensuring high quality and consistency of interpretation of the marking keys. They apply the same rigorous standards to marking our mock exams as are used in the live Case Study examinations. In addition they provide specific informative feedback on the areas in which our students can improve their performance.
